What we believe about: GOD:- One eternal God in three co-existent persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit
- Creator of man and all things
- Really exists and loves and cares about people
(Matthew 3:16-17; Genesis 1:1-27; Acts 17:24-28; John 1:1-4; 3:16) JESUS CHRIST:- God's only Son and Savior of the world
- Born Jesus of Nazareth, both fully human and fully divine, conceived of the Holy Spirit and of the virgin Mary
- Died and was buried, and physically rose again from the dead on the third day
- Will return from heaven to earth to judge the living and the dead
(John 3:16, 20:24-31; Matthew 1:18, 21:11; Colossians 2:9; Luke 23:44-24:8; 1Corinthians 15:3-8; John 14:1-3; Acts 10:39-42) THE HOLY SPIRIT:- Active in the world eternally and co-equal with the Father and the Son of God
- Present in the world to make men aware of the need for Jesus Christ and to provide Christ followers with the power to live the way He wants us to
- Indewells every believer and gifts each of us for service
(John 16:7-15; Acts 1:7-8; Romans 8:26-27; 1 Corinthians 3:16, 12:1-11) THE BIBLE:- Is God's Word to us
- Was written by men guided by the Holy Spirit
- Is the ultimate source of truth and authority
- Is our guidebook for living
- Is without error
(Acts 1:16; Isaiah 40:8; Romans 15:4; Hebrews 4:12; 2Timothy 3:16-17)
SALVATION:- Is a gift from God
- Cannot be earned
- Comes by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ
(Romans 6:23; Romans 5:8-11; Ephesian 2:8-9; 1John 1:7) BAPTISM:- Was modeled by Jesus
- Was commanded by Jesus
- Was integral part of conversion process of the first church in Acts
- Is the outward expression of faith in Christ and something that everyone who accepts his Lordship should want to do
- Immersion is the Biblical pattern/mode
(Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:38; 2:41; Colossians 2:12; Romans 6:3-5) BECOMING A FOLLOWER OF CHRIST:The Bible teaches this pattern to follow to become a Christ follower: - Place one's faith in Christ as Savior of the World
- Repent of personal sin
- Confess Jesus Christ as Lord
- Be immersed in baptism
